There are four different calculation methods that we carry out to provide technical reinforcement advice for your project. The Nonlinear Time Domain Analysis (NLTH) gives us the most accurate results. VORM4 is one of the few agencies qualified to perform these calculations.
In addition to the dynamic effects, this innovative calculation method also looks at material and geometric non-linearities. This makes this method very suitable for existing buildings.
For the simplified methods, we have developed a special tool that allows us to draw up seismic calculations quickly and efficiently.

In-house recording and assessment
We find it important to be able to work independently as much as possible; direct contact with residents is key to us. Since February 2024, we have been qualified as a supplier for this process. The resident approaches us with a budget they have requested, after which we can independently guide them through the process.

We deliver a decision by standard
To determine whether reinforcement to a building is necessary, it is necessary to see whether the building will receive a “standard decision”. To determine this, we look at whether the house can be left safely and on time during a (severe) earthquake. If this is the case, reinforcement is not necessary and the building will receive a “decision by norm”. Our assessment is checked by National Coordinator Groningen (NCG).

Our jurisdiction in NLTHA
The non-linear time domain analysis (NLTHA) provides highly accurate calculations. To perform these calculations correctly, we work in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines such as the NPR9998. This way, we can guarantee that our analyses and reinforcement measures meet safety standards.
The reinforcements are then tested for feasibility, effectiveness and feasibility. The reinforcement process is provided by us from A to Z on behalf of the partners and clients. In doing so, we ensure that residents are at the center of the processing process.
